Afghanistan's Ministry of Defense says government airstrikes killed at least 14 Taliban militants and wounded 13 others in the country's Badghis province, hours after a militant attack on an army camp.

According to a statement released by the ministry on Tuesday, Afghanistan's National Army Air Force used A-29 planes to strike targets in the restive province's Bala Murghab district.
The strike was in response to a militant attack on an army camp in the same district on Sunday, which left more than 20 people dead, 10 more wounded, and 28 soldiers captured.
