China's support essential for serbia's infrastructure

 A Serbian minister says cooperation with China in the field of infrastructure is vital for the expansion of Serbia's transit capacities and becoming a regional transport hub.

Zorana Mihajlovic, Serbian minister of construction, transport and infrastructure made the remarks while visiting the construction site of Power China at the Belgrade Bypass on Wednesday.
Touring the construction site with Chinese ambassador Chen Bo, the Serbian minister praised the progress of Power China and its sub-contractor Azvirt from Azerbaijan on the 20.4-kilometer “Segment B” of the Belgrade Bypass.

“Our plans are for the same companies, Power China and Azvirt, to start construction works on Segment C, and I am very satisfied with all our achievements in infrastructure with China,”
Mihajlovic said Serbia signed a memorandum with China for Segment C of the Belgrade Bypass, and will apply for a loan by June this year.
The Belgrade Bypass still has eight bridges and four tunnels which need to be constructed, and it aims to make transit through the Serbian capital less crowded.
Chinese ambassador to Serbia Chen Bo said, so far, infrastructure has been the most visible part of the Serbia-China cooperation, resulting in numerous mutually beneficial projects.
