Yemen celebrates Eid al-Fitr

 Despite the on-going war and hard circumstances, Yemenis still have managed to celebrate the religious holiday of Eid al-Fitr in the capital city Sanna.

Eid al-Fitr is one of the biggest religious festivals for the Muslims.
Residents in Sanna gathered in the Dar al-Hajar, or Rock Palace, to enjoy the performance of traditional dances.

“During Eid we visit the historical and archaeological sites located in and around Sanaa including the Dar al-Hajar. The happiness of Eid is indescribable.”
Yemenis usually celebrate religious holidays by exchanging visits with family and friends, hiking in gardens and spending time in historical and archaeological sites.

“Yemenis during the holidays of the Eid visit around the city and also go to parks and gardens as well as visit their relatives and brothers in other areas and villages.”
Despite the conditions during the war, Yemenis try to enjoy the time with their families during the Eid holiday.
