Jordan and Germany have underlined the need for continued support to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) to make it continue to play its mandated role.

During the talks between Jordanian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ayman Safadi and his German counterpart
Heiko Maas in Amman, they discussed the Palestinian issue, the Syrian crisis and efforts to ease the tension surrounding Iran.
Maas said Jordan and Germany see eye to eye in continued support for UNRWA, adding the sole way to end the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is through the two-state solution.
Safadi reaffirmed the strategic relations with Germany, which is the second largest donor to Jordan. He said Jordan highly appreciates Germany's support for the achievement of the two-state solution.
