The spokesman on Friday said the situation in Syria, including the transitional political process and the return of refugees, will be discussed comprehensively in the summit, but he did not give the exact date.

The first trilateral summit was held in the Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi in 2017 to discuss progress made in the Astana peace talks and changes in de-escalation zones across Syria.

Meanwhile, the spokesman said the second four-party summit of the leaders of Russia, Turkey, Germany and France is scheduled to be held in Istanbul in late August or early September, before the UN General Assembly.
