China, kuwait to benefit from bri cooperation

In July last year, the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah paid a state visit to China.
The ambassador Li Minggang(李名刚) said it was Sabah's seventh visit to China, and the visit plays an important role in developing China-Kuwait relations. 
During his visit, China and Kuwait agreed to establish strategic partnership, injecting new impetus into the ties and opening up new prospects in the new era.

"During the past year, the two sides have been implementing consensus reached by the two heads of state as the primary goal of developing the bilateral relations." 
Li said the high-level exchanges have always been an important driving force for the rapid development of bilateral ties.

"President Xi Jinping and Emir have exchanged letters, stressing the need to continue promoting mutual trust and deepen pragmatic cooperation between the two countries."
Li noted the Kuwaiti cabinet has also set up a special committee to follow up on the implementation.
He added that the two sides are actively implementing other cooperation documents centered on economy, trade, investment, smart cities and other areas.
Li said in the future, both sides will work together to further implement the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders, deepen strategic partnership and promote practical cooperation in various fields to achieve positive results and benefit peoples of China and Kuwait.
