Sun Yang leading China's charge at fina worlds

Chinese star swimmer Sun Yang is currently in Hong Kong training for his seventh World Championships.

The reigning world champion in the 200 meters and 400 meters will compete in the 200 meters, 400 meters, 800 meters and 1,500 meters freestyle.

Men's 100 meters backstroke world champion Xu Jiayu will swim the 50 meters, 100 meters and 200 meters backstroke, while Li Zhuhao will participate in the 100 meters and 200 meters butterfly.
 
2012 double Olympic gold medal winner Ye Shiwen, who has been in good form in recent competitions, is seeking another win in the women's 200 meters breaststroke and the 200 meters and 400 meters individual medleys.
 
Fu Yuanhui, who took a 50 meters backstroke silver at the 2017 Budapest worlds, will race in the 50 meters and 100 meters backstroke.
 
The Chinese swimming team leaves for Gwangju on July 16th. The 2019 World Championships kicks off on July 13th. The swimming competitions will run from July 21st to 28th.
