The Catad'Or Wine Awards, one of the most important wine competitions in the world, has recently concluded in Santiago, the capital of Chile, highlighting the top wines in the industry.

The judge panel of the Catad'Or Wine Awards was made of top wine experts from 14 countries and regions.
This year, the "Best Wine of the Contest" award went to the Paya de Millaman Cabernet Sauvignon 2015.
And a Chinese wine took a gold medal in its debut.
SOUNDBITE (Spanish): ALISTAIR COOPER, Master of Wine
"The quality is increasing every year. It's incredible to see countries like Bolivia receive a ‘Gran Oro'. That surprised me a lot because it is an excellent wine. Also Brazilian wines did a good job, and obviously the Chinese wines. Seeing the Chinese wines in the contest is something important for us as a contest."
Experts said that the Catad'Or Wine Awards is a barometer of production trends, and an evaluator qualified by the standards of the International Organization of Vine and Wine.
