Peruvian artist remakes trash into artwork

The show is not only fascinating, but it aims to point to the extreme level of waste and excess in modern society.

"I make sculptures from plastic waste, and I want everyone to invent the narrative. My reference always has to do with the pre-Columbian and Incan cultures of Peru."
 
The show, consisting?of 38 sculptures, is only a small part of her over 600-piece works which she has been working on since 2007. 
 
She often uses trash in her works to reflect nature, like fruits and animals.

"I think it is the time of recycling, I think it is the time to become aware of the environment at all levels, I think we are at a time when recycling is important, and all children are already beginning to take a little more care of the environment."
