Main parts of the bridge had been completed by Thursday, with ancillary projects going ahead as scheduled.
The 1,284-meter-long bridge connects Heihe, a border city in Northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, with the Russian city of Blagoveshchensk.
China and Russia first proposed building the highway bridge in 1988 and construction began in December 2016.
The bridge, a flagship project under the Belt and Road Initiative, is expected to enhance the connectivity between cities of China and Russia and promote cultural and economic exchange.
