Hundreds of Jordanians gathered in the capital city of Amman to mark Eid al-Adha with morning prayers on Monday.

The ceremony, organized by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, drew people of all ages to participate.

To celebrate the Eid-al-Adha, every Muslim who can afford has to sacrifice a goat, sheep, lamb, cow or camel to show his or her love and loyalty for the Allah.

But business does not bode well for local merchants this year due to difficult economic conditions.
