Over 18 tons of quality Kazakhstan beef entered China through Horgos port on Thursday.

The delivery marks China's first beef imports from Kazakhstan since the two countries signed a bilateral trade agreement last year.

The Kazakhstan beef had to undergo strict quarantine procedures before clearing Chinese customs and cost around 15 percent less than domestically produced beef products.
