Zambia doctor hails Chinese medical teams

Dr. Penias Tembo says Chinese doctors have not only provided healthcare services but also shared best practices with local doctors.
 DR PENIAS TEMBO, Senior Medical Superintendent,Levy Mwanawasa Hospital:
“As a general Surgeon I work with two; Dr Mark and Dr. Mike but them are very specialized in Laparoscopic surgery. They have done several operations already including appendectomy, cholecystectomy and Hernia repair but there not just working in theatre there also training members of staff in Laparoscopic surgery. He is not only a general Surgeon Dr. Mark is Also the team leader. He has taken the lead in coordinating the rest of the doctors but he has also taken a lead in training in Laparoscopy of our local doctors’ right here at Levy Mwanawasa University teaching hospital”
He commended the collaboration between Zambia and China in the medical field, saying Zambia has immensely benefited from the cooperation.

“Monday the 19th August 2019 is the Chinese Doctor’s day, I can only with them Success in the endeavors and they should continue working very hard and in particular I want to commend the 21st Chinese Medical team for what they have to come to do this time around, not only to work but to also train our doctors in Laparoscopic Surgery”
Tembo offered his best wishes to the Chinese doctors and thanked them for their sacrifice as they have had to part with their families in China to offer medical services in Africa.
