China hopes that all parties will advocate dialogue and cooperation at the upcoming new session of the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva.

That's according to China's Permanent Representative to the UN Office at Geneva on Friday.
Chen Xu also explained how human rights is not a narrow concept but embodies a range of aspects that needs to be pursued in a balanced way, including economic, social and cultural rights and the right to development.
Chen says China will help improve the representation of developing countries and promote international human rights governance "in a more just and rational direction."
