Expert view on China India relations

For more expert comments on the informal meeting between the leaders of China and India, we talked to an Indian professor about the global implications of the China-India relationship.
B.R. Deepak, a professor at India's Jawaharlal Nehru university, said that the relationship between China and India has huge potential. 
The two massive economies are responsible for around 45 percent of global economic growth and both are rising on the global stage.

"It shows the importance of India and China (which) having the kind of impact which no other relationship will have on global growth. So, politically also I believe if India and China, they come together so voices are heard all over the world."
Deepak added that China and India should work closer at global institutions like the BRICS New Development Bank and Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.

"Globally, they require India and China on board and I think it would be extremely important as for as the growth driver of the global economy we concerned. So they could contribute a bit to it and I think they are in."
