SOUNDBITE(ARABIC): ALIA ABBAS, Lebanese Economy Ministry
"This exhibition is a platform which allows people to be informed about Lebanese products. There is no doubt that the Chinese market is very important but this expo is not only focused on China but on other importers and we hope to increase our exports to China and to other countries as well."
The 11 Lebanese companies attending this year's expo include winemakers, olive oil producers, soap makers, food producers as well as travel agencies.
China and Lebanon have strong trading relations. China is Lebanon's largest source of imports.
