Disabled Chinese artists perform in Rio de Janeiro

A group of handicapped Chinese artists have brought an amazing show to the stage in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, despite some serious physical limitations.

China Performing Arts Company for the Disabled performed their show "My Dream" for the first time in Brazil this year.

"Our group has traveled to 100 countries and regions in the world. But this is the first time that we've performed in Brazil, Uruguay, and Argentina."

The group's 20 blind dancers and 6 deaf musicians performed for UNESCO’s Artists for Peace event back in 2007 and at the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympic Games in 2008. The handicapped artists have also been invited to perform at the 2022 Winter Olympic Games.
