China's state-owned enterprises grow steadily

China's state-owned enterprises saw steady profit growth in the first 10 months of 2019.

According to China's Ministry of Finance, the combined profits of China's state-owned enterprises rose 5.4 percent year on year to about 418 billion U.S. dollars, while total revenue reached 7.13 trillion dollars.
 
The pace edged down from the 6.6-percent increase in the first nine months.
The country's centrally-administered enterprises generated combined profits worth about 280 billion dollars.
 
Debt-to-asset ratios of the SOEs stood at around 64.3 percent by the end of October, unchanged from the same period last year.S
