Helsinki Christmas market

Added On December 9, 2019

Christmas is just around the corner and people in Finland are getting prepared! The arctic country's annual Helsinki Christmas Market opened to the public over the weekend. Lifestyles takes you there. More than 140 Christmas stalls and a strong festive atmosphere drove large numbers of locals and tourists to Helsinki's Senate Square over the weekend. Set up around a giant Christmas tree in the center of the square, the wooden cabins sold festive goods like traditional Finnish foods such as reindeer meat products and glogi. A little wind and rain didn't stop holiday shoppers from shuttling through the market looking for things to buy. Helsinki Christmas Market is the oldest and largest event of its kind in Helsinki. This year's market will run from Dec. 6 to Dec. 22.
