News Hour has the lastest.
Iran's Press TV reported that all the 176 passengers and crew members on board the Boeing 737 plane were confirmed dead.
A spokesman for the airport said the plane was operated by the Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) and was bound for Kiev.
He said the plane went down in the Parand district of Tehran and caught fire after crashing.
UIA officials have denied mistakes by the crew in the jet's crash, saying the plane went through scheduled maintenance before departure.
Boeing said it is ready to provide any necessary assistance.
