A total of 32.4 tonnes of fresh pears were sent from north China's Hebei Province to Brazil, the first batch exported to the largest consumption market of pears in Latin America.

Take a look.
China is the world's largest grower and exporter of pears, exporting about 500,000 tonnes a year.
And north China's Hebei province boasts as the country's largest fruit planting area, accounting for a quarter of China's total fruit output. Its pears have been exported to 72 countries and regions as of now.
Among them is the world's second-largest pear importer, Brazil.
"The launching ceremony opens a new conduit for exporting Chinese pears to South America countries, which will bring new hopes for the development of Chinese pears industry and the livelihood of farmers."
