Egyptian official hails China's measures in curbing COVID-19

 An Egyptian official says that China has adopted very strict measures, with responsibility and transparency, to prevent the spread of the COVID-19.

 
In a recent interview with CNC, Ezzat Saad, director of the Egyptian Council for Foreign Affairs (ECFA), hailed  the wisdom of the Chinese leadership in managing the public health crisis, saying China has been "acting seriously and professionally" since the outbreak of the virus.
 
He noted that the Chinese government delivered clear messages to every citizen, making them understand the need to follow medical instructions.

"The Chinese government and its people have dealt with the situation patiently and wisely. They have taken the responsibility and stood together against the outbreak by following all the medical and health instructions."
 
Concerning the Egyptian-Chinese cooperation in fighting the pandemic, Saad said that China has always been a friendly country that stands with Egypt in hard times, adding that learning from the Chinese experience in dealing with the crisis is very important.

"The Egyptian people should learn from the Chinese and their culture to keep calm and obey the rules, follow China’s footsteps by trusting the authorities’ medical and health instructions to control the outbreak."
 
Saad also highlighted the China-proposed Belt and Road Initiative (BRI), saying it is an integrated comprehensive approach that paves the road for cooperation between the people and the governments in all fields.

"The BRI has great ideas that include cooperation between different countries in fields including health researches, medical centers and information and experience exchanges, which will benefit the whole world in the end."
