WHO Turkey office criticizes US withdrawal

The head of WHO's Turkey office criticized the U.S. decision to quit the WHO, saying it will not bode well for any stakeholder, and will have global ramifications. The official also stressed,global solidarity is needed to fight the COVID-19 pandemic as it is an issue affecting the world in its entirety.(Rshad Ali Shaikh, WHO's Turkish office) On the other hand, he applauded China's decision to share knowlege with Turky and other nations in the world throughout the outbreak, saying there is no limit to cooperation in fighting the virus, clinical trials to develop a vaccine, and real-time sharing of knowledge.
