China, Japan reach wide consensus on cooperation

 China and Japan reached consensus on a wide range of issues including fighting the COVID-19 pandemic, promoting economic recovery and supporting each other in hosting the Olympic Games. 

That's according to Chinese State Councilor and Foreign Minister Wang Yi in Tokyo on Tuesday after his meeting with Japanese Foreign Minister . It's the first face-to-face contact between the two foreign ministers since the COVID-19 outbreak.
China and Japan made several decisions during the meeting.
They include setting up a fast track for personnel exchange within the month, 
starting a department level consultation mechanism on food and agricultural products, 
further cooperation on climate change policies 
and launching a new round of high-level maritime affairs consultation.
